Sandboxer vs Hetzner Cloud
Hetzner Cloud sells general-purpose virtual servers that you create, keep running and pay for at a listed hourly or monthly price. It has no sandbox or agent layer: you get a VM and manage it yourself. Pick Hetzner for long-running servers at low cost; pick Sandboxer for short-lived, resumable agent sandboxes.

- Large traffic allowance on EU plans (20 TB on CPX32).
- Locations in Germany, Finland, Singapore and the USA, plus an API, CLI, networks and firewalls.
Where Sandboxer differs
- Hetzner Cloud is a general-purpose VPS with no sandbox or agent layer; Sandboxer adds memory-preserving stop/resume and preinstalled coding agents.
- Hetzner lists servers at an hourly and a monthly price; Sandboxer bills per second and stopped sandboxes cost nothing.
- Nested virtualization and Docker are not documented on the pages reviewed.
Pick Hetzner Cloud if
- You run a long-lived server or service and want the lowest steady monthly price.
- You need EU data centres or a large included traffic allowance.
Pick Sandboxer if
- You need disposable full VMs you can stop and resume with memory and processes restored, billed per second.
- You want every port reachable as an HTTPS URL and a prompt API for preinstalled coding agents.
