Sandboxer vs Civo

Civo is a developer cloud with hourly-billed compute instances, managed Kubernetes and NVIDIA GPUs. It is general infrastructure rather than an agent sandbox. Choose Civo for Kubernetes or GPU workloads and free egress; choose Sandboxer for disposable agent VMs that resume with processes intact.

Where Civo is strong

  • Free and unlimited ingress and egress.
  • Wide GPU range, from L40S to B300, plus managed Kubernetes with a free control plane.
  • Hourly billing with a published monthly price for each size.

Where Sandboxer differs

  • Billing rounds up to the full hour, not per second.
  • Snapshots are disk-only and restore to a new VM; no memory pause.
  • No sandbox API or built-in coding agents.

Pick Civo if

  • You need GPUs or managed Kubernetes in a developer-focused cloud.
  • Data egress cost matters for your workload.

Pick Sandboxer if

  • You need disposable full VMs you can stop and resume with memory and processes restored, billed per second.
  • You want every port reachable as an HTTPS URL and a prompt API for preinstalled coding agents.
