Sandboxer vs AgentComputer
AgentComputer provides cloud computers for agents that run in Firecracker instances on bare metal, with SSH, a browser, snapshots and ports that are public by default. Its docs do not cover pause, Docker or root. Sandboxer adds memory-keeping stop/resume, nested KVM and preinstalled coding agents; AgentComputer suits teams that want large RAM and storage presets and pure usage billing.

Price for one 4 vCPU, 8 GB machine
List prices from each provider's pricing page, before free credits, plans and storage. This compares price only.
Where AgentComputer is strong
- Custom sizes up to 64 GiB RAM and 250 GiB storage, subject to host capacity.
- Stopped computers use cold storage priced at $0.000027/GB-h.
- Ports can be published public or private from the CLI.
- About 3 GB/s NVMe file transfer.
Where Sandboxer differs
- AgentComputer's docs do not state root, Docker, nested KVM, pause or max session; Sandboxer documents all of these.
- Its CPU and RAM list price for 4 vCPU / 8 GB is about $0.63/h before storage; Sandboxer default is $0.036/h.
- Snapshots restore to a new computer; the docs do not say memory is included.
- AgentComputer lists a Linux computer plus macOS computers with limited features.
Pick AgentComputer if
- You need more than 32 GiB RAM or large disks (custom sizes go up to 64 GiB RAM and 250 GiB storage).
- You want macOS computers (with limited features).
- You prefer pure pay-as-you-go with split hot and cold storage billing.
Pick Sandboxer if
- You need Docker, systemd and nested KVM in a full Ubuntu VM.
- You want stop/resume that preserves running processes.
